The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the IQAC

All NAAC accredited institutions will submit an annual self-reviewed progress report to NAAC, through its IQAC. The report is to detail the tangible results achieved in key areas, specifically identified by the institutional IQAC at the beginning of the academic year. The AQAR will detail the results of the perspective plan worked out by the IQAC.


Significant Activities and contributions made by IQAC

Conducted three quarterly meetings on the dates: 24.09.2014 (1st Quarter), 04.12.2014 (2nd Quarter) and 19.03.2015 (3rd Quarter) and          one staff meeting and resolutions have been taken up on the agenda notified therein.

An infrastructural facility to IQA Cell has been established during 2014-15 with funding from UGC (Rs. 3 Lakhs).

Organized NAAC Sponsored National Seminar on “IQACs and Higher Education Institutions: The Required Benchmarks for Quality          Sustenance and Quality Enhancement” on 18.12.2014.

Obtained Feedback from the Students on the teacher calibre and also on the infrastructural facilities available at the campus. The same has          been submitted to the Principal for necessary action.

Conducted Internal Departmental Audit on academic and administrative activities taken up during the academic year from dt: 17.03.2015          to 25.03.2015.

Obtained institutional academic and administrative developments from all the departments / Committee Convenors and consolidated them          to prepare for the AQA Report 2014-15.

Scrutiny and consolidation of API (Academic Performance Indicators) scores of each individual lecturer has been done and submitted to          the Principal for onward transmission to CCE, Hyderabad.

Motivating agent to the staff members to pursue MRPs, PhDs and to conduct Seminars and Workshops. During 2014-15, Two faculty          members have applied for UGC-FDP Teacher Fellowship Award to pursue Ph.D.

IQAC has played a key role in the preparation of Autonomy Proposal report and also made an active involvement during Autonomy Peer          Committee visit on 12.08.2014 and 13.08.2014 for the conferment of Fresh Autonomy status to the Institution.

Continuous monitoring / motivation on the implementation of CoE (Centre of Excellence) activities as per the Action plan.

Organized an Invited Talk on Autonomy / CBCS by Dr.Geeta Swaminathan, vice-principal (Rtd) from Stellamaris College (A), Chennai,          on dt: 25.02.2014.

Guiding for continuous Update of NAAC records by all the Departments.
