About Department

The Department of English was established in 1962.There are three sanctioned posts. Two lecturers are working in the Department at present.One post is left vacant.

The Lecturers impart Language skills through literature to the students with Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) techniques in the classrooms,which help the students compete with there counterparts in the global job market.

The department has a great success in achieving good results above 80% every year. The Lecturers of this Department engage JKC classes imparting communication skills and soft skills to the students to keep them ahead of competitors.Remedial classes are  conducted to the slow learners before the examinations.The Lecturers guide the students for PG Entrance.The Faculty attended  seminars,workshops, Conferences, Training Programs conducted at  various places as a part of Faculty Development Programmes. The Department organises Guest Lectures, Workshops and other Programs to enhance the knowledge of the students.

Listening and Speaking Skills.

Two Iron Almirahs are provided to the Department for the maintenance of books in the Departmental Library.

A computer system along with printer is provided to the Department.

Students appear for PG,B.Ed and other Entrance Exams.

Employment is provided through JKC Campus Drives.Students have the privilege of absorbing into reputed firms like Wipro,Infosys,and other MNCs.
